Data from the US shows that more than a third of new hires reported taking a web-based job screening test before being put forward for an interview, compared to 18 per cent in 2008.

Data shows companies are using these tests to evaluate skills and personalities for job openings at every rung of the career ladder, from bank teller to executive.

We could see an increase of such testing in NZ.
